Family Updates

Since school is about to start, I thought I would give an update on what the family has been up to.

John and I are working hard at Hewitt. Same stuff just different days. John has been working hard losing weight. He looks really fantastic. I'm trying to get my ducks in a row so that I can start attending college again. There have been a lot of things going on so hopefully I can start in the Spring.

Matthew turned 18 this year. He graduated from High School in May and it was a lot of fun visiting him in Missouri. We hung out a lot and made up for lost time. He'll be leaving for boot camp on September 14th. He enlisted in the Marines and wants to be a jet pilot. He'll be attending boot camp in San Diego and I hope to see him graduate in December.

Dustin turned 15 this year. He is a Sophomore in High School. He has finally found his niche in NJROTC and Orchestra. He has inherited the family music gene and can replay anything he hears on his Viola. He's been helping his Nana out a lot this summer since his Dad and Wyatt moved to Kansas.

Wyatt turned 13 this year. He is in 8th grade and is your typical teenager. He struggled a lot last year in school and it was decided that he would be more successful in a smaller school where the teachers can give him more attention. Wyatt moved to Kansas in July with his Dad. He's on the football team and started Choir this year. He's really excited about his "fresh start" at his new school and wants to succeed. We speak to him almost everyday and if anyone wants his address, just let me know.

Stanlee and DC, the cats, are as crazy as cats can be. We had a close call with Stanlee in July. We thought we might have to put him to sleep. He has the feline urinary tract problems and the vet did all she could this last time. She's the best, but if this last surgery doesn't work then we'll have to put him to sleep. Keep him in your prayers.

My First Blog Attempt

I thought I would give this blog thing a try, it seems that everyone is doing it nowadays. This isn't going to be spectacular or particularly interesting. Just information about me and the people in my lives. I'll also reflect on things that I like or dislike. I hope that you enjoy my musings, and if you don't...it's still a free country.
